A commitment to a more diverse, equitable,
and inclusive mortgage finance ecosystem.
Take the ASIL Pledge.
Your company has completed and maintained its ASIL program certification, committing itself to the ideals
and values learned through that process.
Because of this work, each employee of that company is invited to commit to actions that honor those values
of diversity and equity.
Once you as an employee understand and pledge to uphold these values, you are free to use the ASIL Employee badge
for your marketing collateral (business cards, social sites, letterhead, email, and more) to showcase your commitment
to a more inclusive mortgage industry.
The Pledge
I understand that my company has completed ASIL (Accredited Social Impact Lender) Certification with NAMMBA. I have reviewed the NAMMBA website - including the ASIL page - and have a good understanding of what the program entails, the steps my company took to attain ASIL status, and why it is so vital. I now want to show my personal support for and participation in the ASIL program values and goals.
As a participant in that certification process, I pledge the following:
To be transparent and truthful with every client when setting expectations.
To participate in opportunities to foster a better connection between underrepresented and underserved communities within the mortgage lending industry as a whole.
To actively pursue opportunities in the CRA/LMI marketplace.
AND, I acknowledge the following:
Multiple points of view, including lived experiences that I have not personally experienced, make my workplace stronger, more adaptive, and a better place to work.
Inclusion means more than just having a diverse representation of individuals, it means allowing those individuals
a seat at the table and a voice in the room.As a leader in lending, it is my responsibility to foster a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace environment,
no matter what role I serve in this company.Equity includes access to services, opportunities, and education in the housing industry.
A healthier mortgage industry includes a more diverse workforce and a more economically and ethnically
diverse client base.
I understand that using the ASIL Certified Seal on my personal marketing materials, including email, business cards, letterhead, brochures, etc., is a privilege that has to be earned with every interaction between myself and my clients and co-workers. I acknowledge that I can only use the ASIL Certified Seal for as long as my company retains an active ASIL status with NAMMBA.
A zip file of different colored COMMITTED TO ASIL logos should auto-download upon submitting your pledge!
